ABOUT ROGER GALO
Roger was a star player and a prolific shooter, becoming the 3rd leading scorer in the country and identified as an NBA prospect by Marty Blake and the NBA Champions at the time, the Seattle Supersonics. During his college career, Roger was the team’s leading scorer, consistently breaking scoring records.
Long after his playing days were over, Roger began questioning why shooting in college and the NBA were statistically declining, and unintentionally embarked on a decade-long journey to understand why hadn’t shooting kept up with all the other many advancements in the game. He discovered that there is a way to significantly improve a player’s shooting accuracy, not based on the traditional shooting methods that we’ve all grown up on… but a simple, non-complicated method: The Galo Method.
He did the research and collaborated with professors from universities and scientific experts in their field (including biomechanics, kinesiology, anatomy, geometry, and physics) to engineer a scientifically superior shooting form that results in a seamless economy of movements. Roger now teaches shot-making and enhances the offensive efficiency of players in the NBA, WNBA, G League, international, college, and AAU programs, and has been featured in Forbes, Sports Illustrated, The Athletic, CBS Sports, and many more regarding his innovative approach to shot-making.
He was invited to be a lead shooting instructor at the the iconic Five Star Basketball Camp by founder Howard Garfinkle- then, the country’s preeminent basketball camp for the best players in the country, including many who later became NBA superstars.
